Vogalonga details

twinAccommodations

We will be staying in a venetian palazzo that has been renovated into four/five apartments in a residential area of historic Venice. The neighborhood is away from the day tourist crowds, but close to everything. Every one will have their own bedroom, mostly their own bathroom. The apartments are beautiful, and the building is air-conditionned, with internet service.double

We will be rowing the Max Planck, the Vater Rhein and the Otmar Schweitzer, three worthy 4x+that have rowed the Vogalonga eight times:( they know the way!) and joining forces with several german and italian rowers who bring their sense of humor, as well as their past experience rowing this race. The Vogalonga is a non competitive race for experienced rowers. It is long race that is challenging because of the large numbers of participants of all nationalities and craft, and because the weather in the lagoon, while usually peaceful, can vary. It is great fun, great camaraderie, and hard work!
